The Duchess of Sussex, Meghan Markle, has allegedly been taking diet pills to slim down after giving birth to her son with Prince Harry, Archie Harrison. This pill is reportedly sold online with an endorsement from the duchess herself.
According to Mirror, a website called First Level Fitness has been peddling the diet pills with Duchess Meghan's images on its products. One ad even the showed Duchess Meghan saying a line, which she used in a speech during the Grenfell disaster charity a few years ago.
But Buckingham Palace has alerted the public that these diet pills and product endorsements by the Duchess of Sussex are a scam. The spokesperson said that they are considering legal action against the ads that are also found on YouTube.
"This is obviously not true and an illegal use of the Duchess' name for advertising purposes. We will follow our normal course of action," the spokesperson said, per Mirror.
The scammers also cited that Duchess Meghan is on a ketogenic diet post-pregnancy. However, no one from the palace confirmed that she is on this fad diet.
Instead, Daily Express reported that the duchess does yoga to keep herself fit and to slim down after her pregnancy. She has even taught Prince Harry a few yoga movements at their Windsor home in Frogmore Cottage.
"I hear that yoga is very much on her post-birth fitness regime - nothing too strenuous," royal expert Katie Nicholl said. "Before she fell pregnant, you know, Meghan was very fit, but she has been taking it easy. The whole approach has been holistic; it has been gentle."
According to Cosmopolitan, the duchess also does a good cardio workout to complement the toning exercises she does with yoga. She does Heartcore routines and Ritual classes, the latest fitness trend in London.
As for her diet, the duchess is a flexitarian. Rumored to be a strictly vegan, the new mom indulges in meat once in a while and she confirmed it when she did her British Vogue editing guest stint.
In one of the features, Duchess Meghan shared that she had chicken tacos with the former First Lady Michelle Obama. She doesn't constrict her meals to be completely plant-based, as was earlier rumored. Besides, when Prince Harry proposed to her in 2017, the couple said that it happened over a dinner of roast chicken at their flat.
