A new set of rumors have been popping online claiming that "Red Dead Redemption 2" will soon be released on PC. According to rumors, the platform release announcement will happen on August 19, 2019, at Google Stadia Connect. A new rumor on Reddit claims that Stadia and Rockstar might release the cowboy-themed title on Stadia this Holiday.

One of the reasons why Rockstar Games are usually the subject of many rumors and speculations is because the titles are some of the most profitable of all time. While there is a massive gamer base using PC as a gaming platform, it will take time for Rockstar Games to port these bulky titles to the platform. In fact, "GTA V" players have to wait for nearly a couple of years before the title was ported to PC in 2015 while the original "Red Dead Redemption" was never released on PC.

This gap between the official release date of the title and the PC release is typical for Rockstar Games. However, if the rumors are true, it would be the quickest turnaround Rockstar Games has ever made. During the unveiling press conference of Google Stadia, the logo of Rockstar Games was shown alongside with other gaming studios like Bandai Namco and Bethesda.

It was also during the unveiling event that Rockstar Games was revealed as the partner of Google Stadia and will release at least one title on the platform during its launch in November 2019. With the unlikeliness of the game developer to come up with a new title given the time constraint, fans assumed that it could be "GTA 5" or "Red Dead Redemption 2." The speculations even heightened when in March, a teaser of a cowboy game was included in the lineup of Google Stadia.

A screenshot was immediately shown during the GDC conference of Google. These are just some of the factors that back the claims that "Red Dead Redemption 2" is releasing in Stadia and will be announced on August 19. The release date, according to claims, will be the same as the launch of the platform, which is November 2019.

The Reddit post also claims that "Red Dead Redemption 2" will not be released on Steam and will be exclusive to Epic Games Store and Rockstar social club. Although it appears that this is a trendy move, this claim has not much evidence to back it up. So far, Google Stadia is the safest assumption, but beyond that, it is still uncertain if the game will be exclusive to Stadia or if it will be released on other PC platforms.
