Victor Lindelof is believed to ink a new deal with Manchester United according to several reports in Sweden. In the summer of 2017, the 25 years old football player signed a whopping £31 million deal from Benfica and has established himself as the top center-back choice of Ole Gunnar Solskjaer alongside Harry Maguire in the Old Trafford. The football star had been the target of Barcelona last summer, but Manchester United did not allow the Sweden national to leave the team.

Aftonbladet recently reported that Victor Lindelof is set to sign a new contract with Manchester United. According to the report, the current United center-back's agent has been talking with the Old Trafford and that the football star is expected to get a massive increase in his current £75,000 weekly salary. Victor Lindelof is believed to get a contract that will pay him £150,000 per week and would secure his tenure with Manchester United until 2025.

Should Victor Lindelof sign the new contract; he will take home a deal with a staggering amount of £46.8 million. The 25-year-old football player still has a couple of years remaining with the option of a further year on his recent contract with the Red Devils. But, it appears that his new deal will extend the original terms.

Manchester United had an excellent start at the premier League campaign with its recent 4-0 win against Chelsea last Sunday. According to Jose Mourinho, Maguire and Lindelof can be excellent partners for Solskjaer. Mourinho added that anyone could be very lethal in attack, but if the player knows that a mistake is just hovering around the corner, it snatches the player's confidence disabling him to play very well.

Jose Mourinho also said that when the footballer feels that there is something that helps him play his game, he becomes more confident. Mourinho admitted having said that Victor Lindelof could be a very good football player and with Harry Maguire, it could be a very good tag team. Maguire was happy about his performance on his debut at Manchester United as well.

In an interview, Maguire said that it was a great start for him and for the team. He admitted that the team rode its luck during the first half, gave Chelsea too many chances, and they were sloppy on the ball. However, during the second half, Maguire narrated that they played more of themselves and gained control of the game.
