Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, along with their baby Archie Harrison, are not staying in the same house as Prince William and Kate Middleton once they visit Queen Elizabeth in Scotland this summer. Reports revealed that the royal households are trying to avoid each other after Prince Harry commented on having "two kids minimum" to save the planet.
Royal expert Robert Jobson told the Daily Mail that Prince Harry's comments felt like a slight to Prince William and Duchess Kate since they have three children. Thus, the Cambridges are said to be planning to wait out their Scotland visit until Prince Harry and Duchess Meghan leaves.
But according to FOX News, Prince William, and Duchess Kate, along with their kids Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis, will be coming to Balmoral and will be billed at the Tam-na-Ghar, a cottage within the Balmoral estate. Sources close to the royals, however, said that the separate house arrangements are intended and it's not because of any tension between the brothers.
"The queen has a lot of guests coming and to ease the pressure the Cambridges are likely to stay in the cottage," the source told the news outlet. "That could have added benefits for everyone as it means more space in the castle."
Despite Balmoral's big space, it won't be relaxing for the family to stay in one castle. Even Prince Charles and Duchess Camilla are not going to stay in Balmoral but at Birkhall.
Aside from the Sussexes, the Cambridges, and the heir-apparent, the Queen is also expecting her other children and grandchildren with their kids for this yearly summer soiree. The estate will be quite busy with lots of family activities. The Queen is expected to teach her great-grandchildren about her love for the outdoors.
Royal expert Katie Nicholl said that Prince Harry and Prince William have long buried the hatchet over their feud. Speaking with Vanity Fair, Nicholl said that the brothers had a rift before Prince Harry's engagement to Duchess Meghan, but since the arrival of their son, Archie Harrison, Prince Charles' son have had a healing of whatever issues they had.
Meanwhile, their wives have also been bonding quite nicely and even had a joint public appearance together at the Wimbledon without their husbands. According to ELLE, Duchess Meghan and Kate had planned on this outing together, and the photos showed that they both had a great time.
"Catherine and Meghan enjoy seeing each other, and motherhood has brought them closer together," a source told the magazine.
