des for the pilot run, the sports documentary series was able to tell the story behind Sunderland A.F.C.'s ups and downs. And with their infamous relegation last season, everything went south for the club.

The pilot season covered pretty much everything that has happened from the moment they've "lost" to the development that the club is charging. And just before the first season finale, it seems that Sunderland A.F.C. will have a chance to redeem the club after all.

This is why Fullwell 73 continued to tape and record the events that happened after the full eight-episode season. And currently, reports are claiming that Netflix has already commissioned a new season for the series.

The truth is - there are no confirmations yet regarding the new season. But even so, Sunderland Echo has already revealed the main and focal point of the upcoming season.

As it appears, Sunderland 'Til I Die Season 2 will focus on the club's newest owner and executive director, Stewart Donald and Charlie Methven, respectively. The production revealed that the new season's greatest achievement is that they were able to get a much more open view on the club's leads and heads.

BBC Sports also published an interview with Sunderland A.F.C's manager, Jack Ross. In it, he explained his side concerning legacy, promotion, and quite obviously, the Netflix series, Sunderland 'Til I Die.

As per the manager, he had cameras around the halls was quite difficult. He also revealed that he always have cameras with him even on his car during travels, day and night. And while 99 percent of the club, including him, does not want to take part in the documentary, they still saw the opportunity behind the show.

It has been mentioned as well that the reason behind the apparent disapprovals was all due to the fact they don't want their past "failures" to be associated with them forever. And much more be documented for good.

Even so, Sunderland 'Til I Die Season 2 will still happen. And as of today, filming and shooting are said to be in the development already. But in terms of its premiere on the platform, no further information has been disclosed to the public.
