The three alleged screenshots of "GTA 6" that made headlines last week are fake photos according to fans. Many hopeful "GTA 6" fans would like to think that the recent photos circulating online are legit images captured from the gameplay or cinematic trailer of the upcoming iteration of the "Grand Theft Auto" series because if they are, it only means that the game is coming very very soon. Sadly, it appears that it is too early for leaked "GTA 6" images to surface yet.

Last week, three alleged screenshots of "GTA 6" was posted on Reddit and was picked up by several gaming sites and publications. The mysterious images are questionable considering that the Reddit user who uploaded the pictures, immediately deleted the images along with his account. Unfortunately, these images are confirmed fake and were created by a 3D artist who tried to make it look like his work could pass for "GTA 6" contents.

Users from GTA forums already ruled out the authenticity of the alleged "GTA 6" images. Popular YouTuber MrBossFTW also questioned the veracity of the images when they first surfaced online. He first claimed that the alleged screenshot showing an old police car was based on a 3D model purchased from a website.

The YouTuber released another video where evaluated all the other alleged "GTA 6" screenshots. The image showing an airport allegedly taken from the first-person point of view is also fake. According to the YouTuber, the light poles proximate to the runway on the airport are too many.

The design choice, according to him, is strange considering that the structures would make it difficult for the airplanes to land. Additionally, the mini-map appears like a tweaked version of a HUD from "Red Dead Redemption 2" or "GTA 5." But, the real deal-breaker is the second alleged "GTA 6" screenshot showing the back of a character model looking at a building and some cars along the road.

Looking deeper at the picture, the YouTuber discovered that it is just a blurred version of one of the Ocean View Hotel in South Beach Miami. Considering the fanbase of "Grand Theft Auto" series, it is not surprising anymore to read news about "GTA 6" all the time. So far, it is one of the highly anticipated, much-talked-about, and heavily speculated unconfirmed title in the gaming industry.

One of the reasons for this is Rockstar Games' continued silence despite the overwhelming anticipation from fans. The game developer, so far, has not even confirmed that the next game in the "Grand Theft Auto" series following "GTA 5" will be called "GTA 6." Much that we would love to see leaked images from the upcoming game, it is just too early to expect to see an authentic one at this point.
