Bungie, the game developer of "Destiny 2" recently shared a developer's video showing its plans for the game in its third year and beyond. It teases time travel after the Shadowkeep plot. The latest video also hints that the Season of the Dawn will involve time travel and could build conclusion for stories from Forsaken all the way back in the game's first series installment.

Bungie details in its most recent video a myriad of exciting things that players can look forward to in "Destiny 2's" Shadowkeep and beyond. It also tells new clues where the recent game narrative is headed. One clue suggests that the Guardians might deal with time travel in the near future, which aligns to the ongoing stories with the Hive, the Vex, and the Dreaming City.

Gamespot reported that in one shot during the video, game director Luke Smith along with the production director Justin Truman are filling out a grid on the whiteboard. The report states that the whiteboard contains details of the next seasons of "Destiny 2." At the top portion of the grid is a box that details the goal of each top-player in every season.

The Season of the Undying, which will start right after the release of Shadowkeep, has the objective of Damming the Flood. The Season of the Undying in "Destiny 2" concentrates on the Vex taking the offensive on the moon and several other locations surrounding the solar system as a response to the actions of the Hive in the Shadowkeep. The flood most likely is referring to the wave of incoming Vex.

Interestingly, the grid, according to the report, reveals the game execs is filling in the objective after the Season of the Undying, which states Season of the Dawn. In the goal box, it says, fix the timeline, a phrase so simple yet screams about the possibility of time travel in "Destiny 2." All through the Season of the Undying, running parallel to Shadowkeep, the game developer appears to be twisting the story and attempting to resolve a small piece of it in the later part of 2019.

This resolution will carry "Destiny 2" players through season 9. So far, we don't know anything specific about season 9 through 11 of "Destiny 2" aside from the fact that every season will evolve the Shadowkeep narrative in a new and unique way. The cycle will begin again in Season and the next "Destiny 2" expansion, expected to arrive in the fall.
