What makes the most recent announcement of Rockstar Games' PC Launcher interesting is that it is proof that "Red Dead Redemption 2" will be available to PC gamers soon. For several months, countless leaks, rumors, and speculations suggest the launch of the game to the PC port. References to the PC release of "RDR2" were recently discovered within the source code of Social Club and in the game's companion app.
Earlier leaks act like breadcrumbs confirming that "Red Dead Redemption 2" will soon be released on PC. For now, the PC Launcher is just a piece of the larger picture, and it is possible that when "Red Dead Redemption 2" launches in PC it will only be available in the Rockstar Games Launcher. Also, Rockstar Games might consider releasing the game on Steam, but that will definitely depend on the sales of the game.
Rockstar Games has not yet confirmed if it has any plans of keeping all its games exclusive to its own PC Launcher. But, since the game developer occasionally releases games, it is fair to argue if it really needs its own PC launcher. "Red Dead Redemption 2" is the most recent release of Rockstar Games. It is currently playable on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
