Barcelona FC announced its projected budget for the next 2019-2020 season recently. Aside from being the top earner in the world sports, it projects the highest mark in worldwide sports, which is a record-breaking €1 billion turnover. On Twitter, the official account of the team shared details of its financial projection.

According to the tweet, FC Barcelona shares the new record projection of €1 billion in terms of turnover for the 2019 to 2020 season. Sportswriter Samual Marsden said that Barca has already planned to hit the target come 2021. The team's target record turnover of nearly €700 million as they aim to shatter €1 billion marks a couple of years from now.

The latest financial details also come with an increase in profit from €5 million moving up to €11 million. Barcelona also shows that it spent €200 million to acquire Frenkie de Jong, Antoine Griezmann, Junior Firpo, and Neto, to name a few. The team also sold several players as well. But, the total transfer dealing only accounted below €100 million.

There could be an increase in the wage bill if the team convinces Lionel Messi to sign a new contract. Earlier reports claim that the Catalans are planning to offer the Barca captain a lifetime deal, eliminating the clause that would enable him to leave Camp Nou at the end of the season. Consistently, the team is ranked as one of the most valuable teams in sports lagging behind Real Madrid at the fourth spot in Forbes.

Both Barcelona and Real Madrid have long been profiting from Spanish TV deals and even after the introduction of the collective deal, both teams still get considerably more compared to the rest of La Liga, according to Swiss Ramble. The collective deal is based on 50 percent equal share, 25 percent performance over the last five years and 25 percent for popularity. Even after the deal change, Real Madrid and Barcelona still got the most TV income among La Liga clubs receiving approximately €140m respectively.

Atletico Madrid receives €100 million, followed by Athletic Bilbao and Sevilla, each receiving roughly €70 million. The lowest slice of the pie goes to Leganes and Gerona getting €40 million. Barcelona has struggled during the start of the season. So far, they have a couple of wins out of four matches in the top division I Spain. Most recently, Barcelona was held to a 0-0 draw by Borussia Dortmund in the UEFA Champions League.
