Reports claim that Real Madrid president Florentino Perez is ready to sack Zinedine Zidane and appoint Jose Mourinho as his replacement. Real Madrid has drawn two of the opening four La Liga matches this season. The club was defeated by Paris Saint-Germain in a 3-0 loss in the Champions League.
Things don't look good for Zidane, and what's made things worse for the Frenchman is his marquee summer signing Eden Hazard, who failed to make an impact on Wednesday's game. The manager fumed at his team's lack of intensity, according to Independent.
Real Madrid, record 13-times European champions, were overwhelmed, especially in midfield, and failed to muster a single shot on target at the Parc des Princes.
"What upset me is that we did not put enough intensity in the game and at that level of competition, it's not possible," Zidane said.
The Sun reports that Perez is willing to give Mourinho a second stint at Real, as he feels that the former Manchester United boss is the only man who can put the club right back on track.
Perez has said before that he regrets letting Mourinho go in 2013, but according to the report, the Los Blancos big boss "has retained relationships with Mourinho and his entourage."
Meanwhile, Mourinho has no qualms returning to Madrid. In fact, he felt he was a strong contender to get the job after Santiago Solari's departure in March. But it's believed that some Madrid players, including captain Sergio Ramos, are not in favor of the Portuguese returning, resulting in the re-appointment of Zidane. Mourinho spent three years at Madrid during his first spell and won the La Liga title in 2012.

Last week, Mourinho was all praises when talking about his time at Real.
"Real Madrid was my best experience because of what I learned as a coach, as a man, because of the lessons I took in my career and in my life."
"It is the best memory of my career, it was fantastic," Mourinho said.
