TWICE has tied with the record set by 2NE1 in the World Digital Song Sales Chart by charting their 11th Top 5 hit on the Billboard chart.
According to a report by All Kpop, TWICE's Feel Special, the title track written and produced by JYP Entertainment CEO JY Park himself, debuted at #1 in the World Digital Song Sales Chart. It also landed in the sixth spot on the World Albums Chart.
This feat proves members Jihyo, Nayeon, Jeongyeon, Momo, Sana, Mina, Dahyun, Chaeyoung, and Tzuyu's combined power on an international scale as TWICE tied with iconic girl group 2NE1 with 11 Top 5 hits on the chart each.
While Mina sits out the promotions for their eighth mini album to get rest and treatment for her anxiety, the rest of TWICE members will proceed full speed ahead with activities.
Apart from performances and concerts, TWICE will be opening a pop-up store in Singapore for three days. It will be the first of its kind in Southeast Asia and may start a trend among Kpop idol merchandise.
From October 12-14, TWICE's Twaii's Shop will open its doors for business on the second floor of *SCAPE. The store's business hours is from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. daily. It will sell TWICE original merchandise ranging from shirts, badges, bags, Candybong Z wireless chargers, phone holders.
Items are priced from S$10 for TWICE trading cards, and around S$75 for T-shirts. Lucky fans will also get a chance to win autographed albums through a raffle. Each purchase worth S$50 for a single receipt entitles customers to a raffle entry, Channel News Asia reported.
TWICE has proven its popularity not only in Korea but in other parts of the world as well. Their North American tour is the subject of their own YouTube original show, which tackles behind the scenes experiences of the members as they embark on their world tour.
TWICE also broke records for sold-out shows in Japan by raking in $19.5 million for their #Dreamday concerts. Jihyo, Nayeon, Jeongyeon, Momo, Sana, Mina, Dahyun, Chaeyoung, and Tzuyu sold over 215,000 tickets across five performances in Osaka, Tokyo, and Nagoya and averaged $3.9 million per concert, SBS Asia reported.
TWICE also sold out three of its concerts in Singapore in July as part of their TWICELights Tour, and their comeback Feel Special is expected to receive an equal amount of support from their ONCE fandom across the globe.
