News details about the next iPhone SE have resurfaced following Ming-Chi Kuo's latest predictions. The reputable Apple analyst recently shared that the Cupertino-based tech giant is planning to launch the phone in the early part of 2020. Unlike previous iPhone SE 2 leaks, Kuo's prediction of the release window and several other details about the phone's new design align with the recent report released by Nikkei that echoes the same details.

The new iPhone SE may resemble a lot more like the iPhone 8 instead of an iPhone 5, the Apple analyst predicts. In other words, it will give more contemporary aesthetics to the midrange Apple phone. The next iPhone SE is also predicted to have a Touch ID fingerprint sensor and thick bottom and top bezels.

Bloomberg earlier reported that the next low-cost smartphone from the Cupertino-based tech giant will have a similar look as the iPhone 8 and will feature Touch ID. When it comes to performance, Kuo predicts that the next iPhone SE could feature an A13 processor and a 3 GB RAM. This means the next low-cost Apple phone will be a powerful one.

Despite the plethora of claims and leaks surrounding the next iPhone SE, it is not yet clear how much will the device retail. The original iPhone SE was retailed at $399, which was very strategic and allowed Apple to reach customers who did not spend much on a flagship device or those who could not afford to. According to some reports, it is more likely that Apple will price the next iPhone SE at $399.

There are also several claims that when the next iPhone SE launches, the Cupertino-based tech giant will stop selling the Apple iPhone 8. Ming-Chi Kuo predicts that the next iPhone SE will be released to target iPhone 6 users. The iPhone 8 appeals to people who are not worried about the latest iPhone revolutionary features such as the multi-camera modules or the Face ID but prefers a fast iPhone experience equipped with the latest iOS features.

It is worth noting the Ming-Chi Kuo previously predicted that the next iPhone SE would not be released, or at least it was not scheduled to be released in 2018. It is hard to tell at this point if the rumored low-cost iPhone phone will really make it to the market. But, let's hope that it definitely will in the early part of 2020, first or second quarter maybe.
