The Samsung Galaxy S10 was released just a few weeks ago, but it appears that its successor, the Samsung Galaxy S11 is now one of the heavily rumored upcoming devices. Earlier today, Galaxy Club spotted an alleged Samsung Galaxy S11 unit concealed on the HTML5test browser benchmark website. This tiny piece of detail about the display and the onboard Android version are material enough for the people in the tech world to be excited about Samsung's next flagship handset.
We already head from the rumor mill that the Samsung Galaxy S11 will be unveiled five months from now. While the launch date draws near, more and more rumors, leaks, and speculations are pouring in, giving us the idea of what to expect from the upcoming device. Based on the benchmark listing, the next flagship smartphone from the Seoul-based tech giant will have a 20:9 display.
In other words, the Samsung Galaxy S11 will be a lot taller than the 19:9 screen of the company's high-tier offering. This also means that it has slimmer bezels and potentially a marginal increase in screen size. It is worth noting that Samsung already has several devices with similar display ratios, such as the Galaxy A80 and Galaxy A70.
Additionally, the benchmark also reveals that the Samsung Galaxy S11 will have the Android 10 mobile platform on board. We also learned about the screen resolution of the next flagship smartphone from the Seoul-based tech titan. Also, the listing implies that the device being tested is intended for US consumers with 5G connectivity inside.
It was previously reported that the Samsung Galaxy S11 will have three holes, but we have no more additional information about that. Also, Samsung does not provide massive facelifts on its units, releasing just a few months after the other. It is also anticipated to run on Qualcomm Snapdragon 865, which is slated to arrive in Dec 2019.
Although the details shown in the latest benchmark appear credible, it is worth noting that benchmark results can be easily faked. As in this case, we suggest that you take this information with a barrel of salt and with skepticism. Also, it is too early to make assumptions about the specs of the Samsung Galaxy S11 at this point.
We expect to hear more leaks and speculations about the Samsung Galaxy S11 between now and its launch date. We will keep you posted as soon as we hear interesting news about Samsung's upcoming flagship smartphone.
