We have heard a lot of speculations about "GTA 6" the alleged sixth iteration to the popular "Grand Theft Auto" series. Over the past months, there were claims about maps, settings, main protagonists, and even weapons that will be featured in the rumored upcoming Rockstar Games' title. Recently, a new leak surfaced online claiming that the next game could be using Vice City based on a claim of an alleged Rockstar-connected scouting agent.
The infamous Rockstar Games' leaker named Yan2295 used to provide a wealth of details about Rockstar and its upcoming games and updates. In fact, he was asked by the game developer to end leaking details because they were constantly on the money. Recently, the tipster strikes again, but this time, he did not reveal or leak any detail, he simply confirmed it.
Over the weekend, there was a rumor claiming that a store owner in Florida was asked by location scouts if their premises could be visited. The assumption is that the location would be utilized for a project like "GTA 6" or maybe a "GTA Vice City" sequel. The rumor even showed a letter to back up its claims.
Initially, it raised a lot of eyebrows. However, Daily Star reported that on a deeper look, the letter and the people involved with it are legit professionals working in the industry. Yan confirmed that the location scout in the letter is legit as disclosed by Leah Sokolowsky in the podcast last May 21, 2019.
If you listen to the podcast below, Leah confirmed that she was working with a big digital company with who she signed a NDA. It simply underlines that Rockstar Games has indeed hired a professional location scout to find potential places where it could base it next project, which could be "GTA 6." The details revealed in the podcast along with the scouting letter appear to paint a picture of Rockstar Games basing its next project in Florida or Miami area.
It appears that the game developer is planning to stage "GTA 6" back in Vice City. This claim aligns with the Pastebin leak several years ago that hinted that the game is returning to the US' East Coast. The Vice City location has been heavily speculated to be the next location of "GTA 6."
However, at this point, these are just leaks and we suggest to take it with a lot of skepticism. Rockstar Games is yet to announce or confirm that it is developing "GTA 6."
