We have heard very little about Samsung Galaxy Fold over the past weeks. However, the talks about foldable phones might be up again a few days from now if the recent leak is true. While Samsung has not yet released its foldable phone, Huawei might actually be doing it before October ends according to the latest leak.

The Chinese tech and telecom giant launched the Huawei Mate X at the MWC 2019. After that announcement, the release has been postponed a couple of times. The initial plan was to release it in May 2019, but since that time, the trade war between China and the US erupted, Huawei postponed its release.

Huawei Chief Executive Officer Richard Yu assured consumers that the Huawei Mate X would arrive in October 2019. And interestingly, a report from China claims that Huawei Mate X is already in mass production and has met its deadline. The leak comes from the news outlet of Sina Technology Company, which underlined that the production of Huawei's foldable phone was very tough.

The delays in the release were due to the durability and ruggedness of the folding screen after reports surfaced that Samsung Galaxy Fold experienced issues with its hinge. The other cause of delay was the company's commitment to optimize the user interface of Huawei Mate X so it can fully utilize the folding screen. The screen folds outward, at this rate, the company fears that some apps might not be too responsive to the screen usage and change of orientation.

This only means that Huawei would like to make sure that the Huawei Mate X will have no bugs when it finally reaches the hands of the consumers. When the Huawei Mate X launches this month, reportedly at the end of October, it will run on Kirin 990 and not on Kirin 980 as earlier announced. It is possible that Huawei has also integrated 5G connectivity to the revolutionary device.

A YouTube video revealed that Huawei Mate X had gotten slight change-it folds outward. The change has also been mentioned before and might be intended to prevent excessive use of force applied when opening the device. The important question is, how long will the button last.

According to reports, Huawei Mate X will launch in China and so far no details about its launch in other regions are revealed. Most likely, Huawei Mate X will be released without Google Apps and services, but, it will no longer matter to users.
