Money is no problem in the current rebuilding of the Manchester United roster, this was revealed by club chief Ole Gunnar Solskjaer. The Norwegian, however, was quick to add he's not hiring with eyes closed. The team is ready to spend big but only on the right players.

Solskjaer said United saw hiring spending of £150 million in the previous summer, which paved the entry of Aaron Wan-Bissaka, Harry Maguire and Daniel James to the English club. It is estimated the Red Devils have allocated even more for the talent shopping to come in the January transfer window and the summer of 2020, Metro reported.

Per the plan prepared by the United boss, it appeared that United will look to get four players in the winter and another four in July. But as already indicated by Solskjaer before, it will be a well-thought recruitment process and there will be no overspending to happen.

"The money is there. We've been looking at players and we were close to a couple but it's not right if you don't get the right players. The money is there to strengthen in January and in the summer," Solskjaer was reported as saying.

He revealed that the hiring will be more focused in the summer but the money will always be ready given the perfect prospects for the team.

"If there are players available and at the right price, I'm sure we will spend. There might be some experienced players who can come in and help the younger players - that might be worth the money," the team boss added.

Critics have stated that United was wrong when the club allowed the exit of Alexis Sanchez and Romelu Lukaku in the summer. Losing the two left the team without firepower in the scoring department.

However, Solskjaer defended the move and insisted the club made the right call despite the struggles the Red Devils are going through.

"Alexis and Rom are goalscorers and good players, but at the moment, we made those decisions and they were the right decisions. That's the only way you've got to look at it. All the players here want to give everything for the club and for the shirt - that's a big thing," The Sun reported the manager as saying.

Solskjaer has admitted that United missed the chance of hiring good acquisitions the last summer and he promised it will not happen again.

Reports said the Reds are looking into Lyon striker Moussa Dembele but an agreement will likely be hindered by the player's purchase of no less than £50 million. United is also working on bringing over Mario Mandzukic from Juventus and the plan was to offer the Croatian a season contract, which will be extended when he delivers.
