Despite the assurance that his job is secured, for now, Manchester United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer could soon be out as reports emerged that the English club board is set to finalize a deal with former Juventus boss Massimiliano Allegri. The abrupt takeover will net the Italian an annual pay of £6.5 million.

The beleaguered Solskjaer has been the subject of criticisms following a sorry start for the Red Devils in the current season. The club has only managed two wins in eight games and is on the brink of being relegated in the Premier League. The clamor is picking up momentum by the day for the Norwegian to be sacked.

The United board, however, has recently announced that the club has the full support for Solskjaer to preside over on the planned rebuilding of the team that is estimated to be completed in three years.

Still, the speculations that Solskjaer will be fired eventually have refused to die down. The Daily Mail reported that in the middle of job security given to the current team manager, United has opted to negotiate with possible replacements and one name that keeps on popping out is that of Allegri.

The publication said United and Allegri are close to sealing a deal, in which the latter has been offered a handsome pay package plus the clearance to overhaul the Reds roster.

No official word from both parties has come out on the matter, but according to Metro, Allegri provided a hint of the things to come for United.

"I speak English too poorly for now, but I am learning," the Italian was reported as saying in responding to the queries on rumors that he will take over from Solskjaer.

Essentially, he seems to indicate that managing United will be difficult for him due to language differences. But at the same time, Allegri is saying that he is trying to improve his English, somehow hinting that there's a good reason for him to do better on the language.

While confirmation on the subject remains out of hand, speculations are rife that when Allegri gets the job, his immediate action is the revamp both of the Reds roster and the backroom staff.

As his first course of action, the Italian is said to be bringing over two Juventus stars to beef up the problematic United lineup immediately. Mario Mandzukic and Emre Can are said to be joining him once the agreement has been signed.

Another quick recruit that Allegri will carry out is the hiring of former United legend Patrice Evra, whose return to Old Trafford as part of the coaching staff could prove a popular decision by the struggling club. Evra has already indicated he is willing to serve his former team and do his share for the club to start winning again.
