Following earlier claims that "Overwatch 2" is under development, rumors about the next game iteration have been rife. A few days ago, we saw reports that the highly anticipated title could be announced in BlizzCon 2019. Today, an eagle-eyed fan shared a recent discovery, which could be our first look at the new map of the much-awaited game.

Blizzard promises big news to its fan base, and earlier rumors claim that it might announce "Diablo IV" and "Overwatch 2" at its major annual event. On top of that, ESPN's Slasher Breslau recently shared interesting details about "Overwatch 2." Reddit user DingusDangledick shared what he thought the background of the most recent leaked talent image of Tracer.

According to the Reddit user, it also shows a peek at the latest "Overwatch 2" Rio de Janeiro map. The very bottom part of the image on the left side of Tracer's chronal accelerator is a turntable setup that resembles Lucio's Dance Party emote, the Redditor explained. There is also a stack of speakers in the center of the screen, as well as sound-proof paneling on the walls similar to the room in Hollywood, the tipster continued.

Additionally, the Reddit user mentioned the article published by ESPN, which states that a new map set in Rio de Janeiro will be launched at this year's BlizzCon on Nov 1 as well as a new hero, Echo along with the announcement of "Overwatch 2." The background on the Tracer image does not exactly resemble any area in the original "Overwatch" game.

This simply means that the Reddit user is onto something. The leak from ESON also shared about a new game mode called Push, which will be presumably introduced in "Overwatch 2." But, despite the series of leaks revealed about the alleged upcoming title, we still don't know at this point the form it will take or how it will connect to the recent "Overwatch" game.

There are several claims that "Overwatch 2" could be paid content with new game modes, heroes, and maps. Another report claims that it is similar to what "Fortnite" recently went through, and instead of "Overwatch 2," it should be "Overwatch: Chapter 2." At this point, these are all speculations.

BlizzCon 2019 is just a few days away, and surely, we will know more details about "Overwatch 2" during the event. For now, we suggest taking these details with a pinch of salt and with great skepticism.
