Sony's PlayStation 5 is still a few months away from its official release window, which is sometime in the holiday of 2020. Sony Interactive Entertainment CEO and President Jim Ryan recently shared in an interview the company's plans for its upcoming next-generation gaming console. While Ryan left out some details, "Warriors Orochi 4 Ultimate" Producer Tomohiko Sho, during an interview, shares some impressive details on how the PS5 will change gamers' overall gameplay experience.

In an interview with Gaming Bolt, Sho sheds some light on how much difference the PlayStation 5's hardware advancements will bring about. Over the past months, we have heard talks about how Microsoft's Xbox Scarlett and Sony's PlayStation 5 could improve the development process and game design with their powerhouse specifications. However, on the matter of how much of that is true is not something we will be finding out at the moment.

Fortunately, Sho reveals that with the Solid State Drive (SSD) of the PlayStation 5, he anticipates that game streaming and loading times will see substantial improvements. The "Warriors Orochi 4 Ultimate" producer also believes that the concept of loading as we know it today will almost or better yet disappear with the arrival of next-generation gaming consoles. Sho also anticipates seeing unparalleled gameplay experiences created by the consoles' ability to enable instant scene changes.

During the same interview, the game producer also talks about the benefits he foresees on the Zen 2 CPU of the PlayStation 5. By dramatically changing the processing speed as well as the amount of data that it can process, more advanced AI and larger-scale controls will be achievable, says the game producer. High speed and advanced simulations will also be possible, although, at the moment, it could make game development a little challenging, Sho adds.

The "Warriors Orochi 4 Ultimate" producer believes that in the end, PlayStation 5 could greatly affect the efficiency in automation and in the development process to allow developers to concentrate on what truly matters: content and details. Expect to hear more about Sony's next-generation gaming console, the PlayStation 5, as it nears its release window. Meanwhile, Sony Interactive Entertainment has yet to disclose the specific release date of the PlayStation 5.

Rumors have it that Sony might hold a special event for the official unveiling the PS5 in February 2020. But, since this is just a rumor, we suggest taking this with a grain of salt.
