Starting November 5, "Red Dead Redemption 2" PC gamers will be able to enjoy the new port of the popular Wild West-themed game. The open-world action-adventure title will be available on PC via Rockstar Launcher, Steam, and Google Stadia. Rockstar promises that the game's PC port will be different from the console, but it appears that the developer is not keen on providing mod support of "Red Dead Online."

Modders will certainly be disappointed with Rockstar Games if the latest report is true. It appears that their fate in getting a bit of the game's setting and making it their own is still uncertain if the game developer's recent statement is to go by. Rockstar North Associate Technical Director Alex Hajadj, when recently asked about mod support on "Red Dead Online," PC completely dodged the question.

IGN recently reported that it was able to talk to Hajadj to learn more details about the Red Dead Redemption 2" PC. When the technical director was asked about "Red Dead Online" PC mod support, he simply answered that Rockstar loves the kind of passion that the players have for the game. Additionally, it said that it wants to make sure that the community will enjoy "Red Dead Online" freely and in a way that it was meant to be played.

Hajadj also shed some light on the development process of "Red Dead Redemption 2" and provided insight on the developer's tendency to delay PC releases for its video games. However, the technical director was mum when it comes to mod support. If anything, his statements could lead one to believe that mode support will not be available to "Red Dead Online" players.

This is what Hajadj had to say on the topic:

"We love the passion that players have for our games and the creativity that comes with that. Our priority, as always, is on working to preserve the integrity of the Red Dead Online experience and making sure that the community can enjoy that space freely in the way it was intended."

It appears like Rockstar Games is not interested in dropping any mod support for the "Red Dead Online" of "Red Dead Redemption 2" PC. This is not very surprising considering the developer's position about modding ever since. It can be recalled that long before "Red Dead Redemption 2" PC was released, Rockstar Games reportedly asked the team behind a "Red Dead Redemption 2" mod to stop the mod.
