The Portuguese coach reportedly called the Swedish striker and talked to him about joining Tottenham. Manchester United had also been linked with the Swedish footballer a few weeks ago.
It is worth noting that 'The Special One' was the one who signed Zlatan Ibrahimovic during his tenure as a coach at Manchester United. With his appointment at Tottenham, it seems that he wants the service and skills of the Swedish striker once again. Zlatan Ibrahimovic will be a free agent in January, according to Telegraph, with his contract with LA Galaxy expiring after a two-year stint. La Republica recently reported that Mourinho personally made a phone call to the 38 years old striker and asked if a second spell in the Premier League would work.
Zlatan Ibrahimovic has made 52 goals in his 56 appearances for the Los Angeles Galaxy. Aside from Manchester United, he was also recently linked with Bologna and AC Milan. However, reports are rife online, claiming that Jose Mourinho is hoping to hijack other club's pursuit of the 38 years old striker. During his time at Manchester United, Zlatan Ibrahimovic scored 26 goals in 46 matches.
