Manchester United is reportedly planning to submit an offer for RB Salzburg's striker Erling Haaland. With the January transfer window inching closer, it appears that the Red Devils are committed to filling the roster of the club with great talents regardless of the amount. Reports have it that United is eyeing Erling Haland to be a part of the squad next year.

The 19 years old Norwegian striker has been making headlines recently because of his stellar performance at RB Salzburg. So far, Haland has produced 25 goals in just 18 appearances and has made a name for himself as one of the in-demand footballers in Europe. Metro reported a week ago that Manchester City was also interested with the 19 years old striker and would like to sign him up for the club by making a deal with the player's father.

Erling Haland is the son of Alf-Inge who played for Manchester City. The report added that Manchester City invited him to watch its match against Atalanta in the Champions League at the Etihad Stadium in October. Juventus, Bayern Munich, and Real Madrid are also eyeing the Norwegian striker since his swift rise in RB Salzburg.

However, it is Manchester United who is keen to get Erling Halland and want to beat its rivals to signing the 19 years old striker. The Times reported that the Red Devils already have plans to submit an offer for Erling Haland in summer, but due to some reasons, it will provide the bid in January. Manchester United's proposal for the 19 years old footballer is reportedly around £60 million.

Manchester United Head Coach Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, who managed Erling Haland when they were both at Molde, would like to get the Norwegian striker to reinforce United's attacking options since Romelu Lukaku and Alexis Sanchez left the club. Meanwhile, RB Leipzig recently clarified that it does not have the first refusal on RB Salzburg striker Erling Haland. Earlier reports claimed that RB Leipzig would have the first refusal on the Norwegian striker in case he decides to leave the club.

RB Salzburg Sporting Director Cristoph Freund denied this and said that there is no such clause. He clarified that the club would never own any club's right of advance to any player. This did not happen in the past and will surely not happen in the future, the director said.

Meanwhile, Erling Halaand showed his goal-scoring power recently as he becomes the first teenager in the history of European Cup to score in five consecutive appearances in the competition.
