Former Tottenham Hotspur boss Mauricio Pochettino recently released a statement through the League of Managers Association. This is the first time that the 47 years old professional football manager has spoken following his departure from Tottenham. The Argentine coach addressed Tottenham Hotspur's hierarchy, fans, and players in the statement but has not said anything about future plans.

Daniel Levy announced last Tuesday that Tottenham Hotspurs is letting go of Mauricio Pochettino as its head coach. Not less than 24 hours following the announcement, Spurs revealed its new coach, Jose Mourinho, which surprised the football world particularly Hotspur's players and supporters. In his statement, Pochettino sounds grateful, appreciative, and without remorse.

Mauricio Pochettino served as the head coach of Tottenham Hotspur for almost six years. Following his exile, he was visited at home by some Spur's players for failure to say goodbye to their beloved coach in person. In his statement, the Argentine thanked Daniel Levy and Joe Lewis for the chance to be a part of the history of Tottenham Hotspur.

Pochettino also thanked all the people he met during his stay at the club including the football players and staff. He also especially mentioned the fans who, according to him, make the club great because of their fantastic support. The 47 years old Argentine football coach also said in his statement that he gave his best to achieve objectives that were asked of him during his first meeting with the club. Pochettino admitted that there were tough challenges managing Tottenham and there were overwhelming successes too. Moreover, he wished the team the best of luck and hopeful that their paths will cross again. It can be recalled that Mauricio Pochettino took Tottenham Hotspur to the Champions League's final in the previous season.

However, the club has suffered poor performance, which reportedly was one of the reasons why the hierarchy decided to replace him with Jose Mourinho. Pochettino was rumored to be the replacement of Manchester United coach Ole Gunnar Solskjaer. Following his departure from Spurs, some reports claimed that he would be the next head coach of Arsenal whose current coach is on the brink of getting sacked.

Mauricio Pochettino's name also comes up every time talks about the replacement of Bayern Munich Coach Niko Kovac surfaces. Pochettino's statement did not mention anything related to his plans. Rumors have it that he wants to return to Spain and manage Real Madrid.
