Its been years since Apple introduced the first iPhone SE, and since then, it has not released any refreshed model. But, that is going to change because next year, the Cupertino tech giant will reportedly release the new version of the compact phone, which is the iPhone SE 2. Interestingly, a new report claims that the upcoming iPhone is projected by Apple to bring in around 30 million sales to the company next year.

Earlier this year, several tech sites reported that Apple would release the new iPhone SE 2. More speculations surfaced when TFI analyst and reliable Apple tipster Ming-Chi Kuo predicted that the next generation compact iPhone would be retailed at a starting price of $399. But, considering that the device is far cheaper than the standard iPhone series, there are obviously some weak points on the upcoming handset.

Interestingly, a new report from China picked up by wccftech claims that Apple has already made a projection for the sales of iPhone SE 2 in 2020. The report reveals that Apple estimates roughly 30 million in sales for next year. But, Ming-Chi Kuo finds the estimate a little optimistic and says that Apple will ship around 20 million units in the 12 months of the release of the device.

Many believe that the base price and the impressive specs of the iPhone SE 2 are some of the crucial factors that will spell its success next year. Earlier reports claimed that the compact handset would house Apple's A13 Bionic chip. This is the same chip that runs on the current generation and recently released Apple iPhone 11 series.

Additionally, the iPhone SE 2 is rumored to have 64GB or 128GB internal storage along with 3GB of RAM. But, since it will be available at a lower price, there will be several drawbacks. The upcoming device will reportedly have the design of the iPhone 8 and will sport a 4.7-inch display.

Moreover, the iPhone SE 2 will not have the Face Id and instead will utilize the Touch ID feature for the user's security. The upcoming device is anticipated to arrive in the last part of the first quarter of 2020, specifically on Mar. 2020. Considering the specs and the price of the iPhone SE 2, it will likely be marketed on a market that is not too particular with the technology and features. The market is expected loyal to the Apple brand and would like to use the handset for its standard functionalities, among other things.
