Apple recently released iOS 13.3 as part of its rapid-fire update since iOS 13 was launched in September. The recent update introduced notable fixes and new features. Here are the significant issues and features in the latest not so perfect iOS update.
The iOS 13.3 is for all devices compatible with iOS 13. In other words, from iPhone 6S up to the latest iPhone 11 series and iPod Touch 7th generation. Users should receive automatic upgrade notifications, but if it is not available, it can be manually done. Go to Settings, General, Software Update.
For beta testers running in the later version of iOS, they need to unroll their iPhones, or iOS 13.3 will not show up. The latest iOS build, unlike other releases, delivers features and fixes, although big issues are still there. This includes the issue with Mobile Data.
Although Apple already promised to include a fix in iOS 13.3, several users are still experiencing mobile data problems, reports Forbes. Surprisingly, some of these issues, according to the report, are introduced by iOS 13.3. In addition to the mobile data issue, several users are also reporting about the severe battery drain issue.
A few days earlier, CNBC reported a flaw that allows children to bypass the Screen Time control feature of iOS 13.3. By syncing contacts with any service aside from iCloud, unknown contact numbers could be contacted, texted, called, FaceTime with, without any restrictions. Apple assured users that a fix would be introduced in iOS 13.3.1, which might be released within the next weeks.
On Dec. 18, Apple released the first public beta for iOS 13.3.1. Users are expecting that the fix for Screen Time is one of its priorities. Elcomsoft, a Russian Cybersecurity firm, recently shared vulnerability in iOS 12 to iOS 13.3 just recently. There is a vulnerability in the iOS that, with the use of their forensic tool, could allow hackers to extract, data, and passwords, among other things, from unlocked iPhones.
