Motorola officially unveiled the Motorola Razr flip foldable smartphone in Nov. 2019. During that time, the company claimed that the first units would arrive just in time for the holiday season, but we later learned that the release would not happen for unknown reasons. But, based on the photos shared online, it appears that the much-awaited foldable smartphone is nearing its release.

Surprisingly, the general manager of the mobile division of Lenovo China shared the photos on his personal page on the Chinese social networking site Weibo. The photos show the production date, which is Jan. 9, 2020, along with model number XT-2000-2. The photos underline that the Motorola Razr is ready to hit the shelves anytime soon.

The actual, alleged photos of Motorola Razr reveal that it has a very distinct box compared to other smartphones in the market. It is triangular in shape, and instead of lying flat on the ground, it stands tall. The box also contains information about the device, including the device name, specifications, and other details.

With the size and shape of the box, it appears that the Motorola Razr will come unfolded inside. Based on the photos, the clamshell folding device from Motorola will feature 6 GB of RAM and 128 GB of storage. The device will house a Qualcomm Snapdragon 710 processor with a 16-megapixel camera.

Other specs of Motorola Razr leaked earlier includes a 6.2-inch Flex View P-OLED screen that features a 21:9 aspect ratio. Additionally, it will feature a notch that will house the 5MP selfie camera. When the Motorola Razr is folded, it will feature a smaller 2.69-inch display on the back part that shows the caller ID and notifications. The device will also feature Bluetooth 5.0, NFC, and an eSIM.

Earlier, it was reported that the Motorola Razr would run on Android 9 Pie, but we are hoping that the delay allowed the company to use the Android 10 update on the device's OS. Because of the eSIM, it seems that the device will not be selling at the free market. In other words, the Motorola Razr has no physical slot reserved for a SIM card, and so far, only a few carriers support the eSIM.

The Motorola Razr will retail for $1,499 in the US and €1,600 in the UK, according to Gizmochina. Following its official unveiling in the US, Lenovo Group Chairman and CEO Yang Yuanging said that the release of the device in the US would be delayed.
