The CEO of Chinabio claimed that the turnout of the China Showcase at Biotech was disappointing and that business continues to run as normal without hitting groundbreaking stats.

According to a report by Bio World, Chinabio CEO Greg Scott shared his disappointment with the Chinese companies' showcase. He claimed that last year's turnout missed the company's chance at garnering more investments since it lacked iconic explosions and failed to hit record-breaking stats. 

The China Showcase presented at San Francisco, California last January 12, 2020, presented the leading life science investors and strategic partners at the annual gathering. Public and private companies who had an audience with China's leading investors attended it. 

The event was supposed to capitalize on cross-border opportunities to China during the busiest week in the healthcare industry. Chinabio, who has operated for more than ten years in China, has the largest network of life sciences executives, investors, and business development experts. 

In other news, Japan Bioindustry Association reported that the Chinabio Partnering Forum 2020, China's largest partnering event, is expected to provide greater opportunities for the business development of Chinese companies. 

The report claimed that the even expects 14,000 attendees that would consist of decision-makers of pharmaceutical companies operating in about 25 countries worldwide. The event would be held at Suzhou China on May 6 and 7, 2020. The organizer EBD group is hopeful that it would generate valuable cross-border partnerships at the Chinabio Partnering Forum. 

After Scott shared his disappointment over the last weekend's event, his company expects that there would be better opportunities to engage with global life science partners in May. The said event would involve one-on-one meetings between hundreds of potential partners with the world's leading web-based partnering system partneringONE. 

The event was reported to allow companies to pitch their business ideas and present their innovative assets to decision-makers in the pharmaceutical industry. It was also revealed that brands could showcase the positions of their companies among the innovators of the life science industry. Finally, the event was referred to as informal networking even where the participants in an intimate setting would engage high-caliber networking. 

According to Yahoo! News, partnerships in China have shown progress this year as Codexis, Inc. announced its attendance to the official opening of Porton Pharma Solutions Ltd.'s laboratory in Changshou. The said partnership was said to show that China has been achieving important milestones in the strategic partnership in its biotech industry like that of Porton and Codexis. The partnership was said to drive biocatalysis technology in China.
