Royal fans on social media are having a meltdown after Meghan Markle shared a new photo to show that she visited one of her advocacies while in London two weeks ago. To some, the timing of the post seemed "unfortunate" as Kate Middleton just launched her new campaign for children on the same day.

On the @SussexRoyal Instagram, Meghan shared a photo of her visit to Mayhew in London when she briefly returned to London in early January. The caption stated that the Duchess of Sussex popped into the animal welfare charity to see how the dogs and cats were doing after the holidays.

Despite the positive message of the post, royal followers said in the comments and on Twitter that Meghan's post seemed like a diss on the Duchess of Cambridge. Royal correspondent Richard Palmers said that it was totally an unfortunate timing because a senior member of the royal family was launching a very important project.

Just hours before, Kate announced a landmark early childhood survey that will have the Duchess of Cambridge traveling to Birmingham, Cardiff, Surrey and London within 24 hours. Her aim was to gather findings to five important questions that will help shape early childhood care.

But Meghan's post was seen as a deliberate attempt to ruin Kate's initiative. Some royal fans wrote that the Duchess of Sussex was being spiteful as she didn't want the Duchess of Cambridge to have her moment.

Other royal fans also called out Meghan for being insecure as she reportedly tried, yet again, to steal Kate's thunder. At the same time, Prince Charles had a special engagement in Davos as well for the climate change World Economic Forum among the world's leaders that Meghan also allegedly tried to eclipse, according to royal observers.

Meanwhile, Prince Harry and Meghan are currently staying in Vancouver after Queen Elizabeth announced that the Sussex pair is no longer representing Her Majesty in royal engagements. While Prince Harry and Meghan are still known as the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, they will not be considered as senior royals. The upside could be that they can enjoy their life as private citizens.

Prince Harry and Meghan reportedly plan to venture into other businesses, aside from doing charity, to support their lifestyle. Royal experts said that the Sussex royals could land a book deal or an arrangement with Netflix to produce shows, per Vanity Fair. Whatever the final agreement will be take effect in Spring 2020.
