Meghan Markle reportedly wants her mother, Doria Ragland, to move in with her, Prince Harry and Archie when they make California their permanent home. The Duke and Duchess of Sussex are also said to be looking for a new house to buy and call their own instead of simply renting the property, as with their current digs.

Sources told The Sun that Prince Harry and Meghan are moving into another house once the quarantine and lockdown orders are lifted. This new home will be a more permanent place with Doria living in the "granny annex."

The source also revealed the real reason why Meghan wants her mother to live with them. The Duchess of Sussex apparently doesn't trust that many people to look after Archie if they have to work and travel.

"Doria is her rock and her biggest champion," said the source. "Harry has also grown close to her so, believe it or not, he was receptive to the idea of living with his mother-in-law."

But Doria still wants to enjoy her independence even if she will live with Prince Harry and Meghan. The grandmother doesn't want to be in her daughter's space so she will have her own area in the sprawling property.

This property is reportedly in the same neighborhood where Jennifer Garner and Tom Hanks live so it is close to the Pacific Palisades in the Los Angeles area. The house reportedly cost around the ballpark of $13 million and is currently owned by producer Steve Chasman, the producer of the Fast and Furious franchise.

Currently, Prince Harry and Meghan are renting a paparazzi-proof Malibu mansion that's close to the home of Elton John. But while it's close to Doria's home, the family haven't seen Meghan's mother since the lockdown orders in California.

Meanwhile, everything in the Duke and Duchess of Sussex's plans, since stepping back from their royal roles on March 31, has been hinging on this coronavirus pandemic. The couple was supposed to launch their new foundation, Archewell, in April but this has been pushed back until the public health crisis has been resolved.

In the meantime, Prince Harry and Meghan have been doing their part to work and extend help during this unprecedented period of crisis. They have been spotted driving around Los Angeles to deliver food to people with chronic illness. They have also been doing video conference calls to the charities they support, while Prince Harry canceled plans to go to large gatherings and major events, such as the Invictus Games and the London Marathon, due to the coronavirus.
