Borussia Dortmund ace Jadon Sancho is a hot item for elite clubs in Europe, but the young winger appears to have decided where he is playing next. It is believed the England international is headed back to the Premier League and star for Manchester United next season. The move, however, could prove unfavorable for Sancho.

According to Dimitar Berbatov, it seemed too early for the Dortmund attacker to leave Germany and bring his game back to England. The former United forward acknowledged that Sancho indeed is a rising star, and Ole Gunnar Solskjaer was right to pursue him, but career-wise, making the switch now seemed not the best thing to do.

The Bulgarian noted that Sancho sought a better future in Bundesliga from Manchester City, and that decision is now paying off. The 20-year-old is now considered a key player at Dortmund, so Berbatov is thinking that leaving the German club should be the last of Sancho's options, at least for the moment.

It would be wise for the winger to first confirm what awaits for him at Old Trafford and Berbatov to rush on things would be ill-advised for the youngster. If possible, it's best for Sancho to give Dortmund another year, said the United hero.

"I think it may be better for him to stay at Dortmund for one more year," Mirror reported Berbatov as saying.

But he made clear that Sancho is a football star in the making. Berbatov said: "Sancho is unbelievable, he has 14 goals and 15 assists, it is unbelievable. It speaks volumes about the way he is developing, the speed, the goals, the passing, and his eye for the pass."

The former United man also underscored the youngster's football intelligence and his willingness to function as part of the team.

"He isn't selfish ... If you have 15 assists it must be because you play the ball whenever you have the chance and someone is in a better position," Berbatov explained.

However, if Sancho has made up his mind on joining up with the Red Devils, he should make sure that he's not only getting the big money. Berbatov said Sancho has to get the assurance that he is part of the United first-team.

"For me, he is going to choose the team that he knows he is going to play. Not to move and do nothing because that is going to stop his development," Metro reported Berbatov as saying.

He reminded Sancho that when he arrives at Old Trafford, one thing is sure - he would be facing tough competition with the likes of Anthony Martial, Marcus Rashford, and Daniel James.
