A recent report released by 9to5Mac revealed that the next generation iPad Pro refresh would feature the latest mini LED display technology. With this feature, the upcoming tablet from Apple is anticipated to offer a wide range of improvements. This includes longer battery life and enhanced display quality.

For the uninitiated, the mini LED display is composed of smaller dimming zones that can be individually switched on and off. Because of this, black areas are truly black since black components are switched off in that particular region. Several reports also claimed that the Cupertino tech giant is interested in introducing a mini LED screen on its upcoming products because of its ability to offer a rich and wide range of color gamut and high-contrast ratios.

In addition to the mini LED display, the upcoming iPad Pro refresh is also rumored to house an A12 processor. The claim comes from a Twitter user named Lovetodream, who said that his dream iPad would feature an A12 chip. His claim aligns with the recent report by TFI Securities Analyst and reliable Apple tipster Ming-Chi Kuo.

The Taiwan-based analyst said that Apple's new 10.8-inch iPad would roll out in the second half of 2020. While Kuo did not directly mention if the model would be a regular iPad or an iPad Air, he said that both models, along with the upcoming iPad Mini would house fast chips.

Meanwhile, another report claims that the upcoming iPad Pro refresh would feature the A14 processor based on 5nm architecture. The report cites supply chain insider noting that TSMC, Apple's partner, is still on track to begin producing the A14 processor for the second quarter of 2020. the said chip is anticipated to be on the iPhone 12 series and on the upcoming iPad Pro.

iPad Pro Refresh 5G Connectivity

Apart from those, reports also claimed that the upcoming iPad Pro refresh would integrate 5G connectivity.
