A leaked photo of a logic board allegedly that of iPhone 12 or iPhone 12 Pro is making rounds in social media. While it is not yet clear if the logic board belongs to iPhone 12, it shows a design with a different configuration and shape compared to older iPhones. It also reveals that the upcoming flagship smartphone from Apple could be longer and thinner than the current generation iPhone 11 series.

Leaked iPhone 12 Logic Board

The latest information about the iPhone 12 comes from an actual photo of a logic board. Lovetodream shared the photo on Twitter and said that it potentially correlates with the iPhone 12. It is worth mentioning that nowhere in the photo is any direct indication that it belongs to the upcoming flagship series from Apple.

According to wccftech, the logic board shown in the photo shows that the iPhone 12 features a single layer design. It shows disparity since higher-end iPhone models released in the past have a dual-layer board. According to Lovetodream, the logic board was manufactured around the first week of Oct 2019.

Additionally, the leaked logic board photo reveals that Apple is keeping Samsung as its supplier for the iPhone 12's flash storage. As mentioned earlier, it is unclear which iPhone 12 model the logic board belongs to. It has a longer L-shape compared to the more compact the Cupertino tech titan used in iPhone 11 and iPhone 11 Pro. It implies that the upcoming iPhone could feature a more prolonged and thinner logic board.

Other iPhone 12 Details

Earlier, Apple tipster Jon Prosser claimed that the iPhone 12 series would start at 128 GB, a massive jump from the current generation's 64 GB storage. Several iPhone 12 leaks earlier noted that the line up is composed of four models. It includes the entry-level 5.4-inch iPhone 12, two 6.1-inch models, and one 6.4-inch iPhone 12.

The iPhone 12 series might house Apple's A14 Bionic chip and could sport a boxier look because of its rumored sharp edges. The base iPhone 12 model allegedly retails at $649, an exciting price that could allow Apple to penetrate the budget-conscious segment. There are also whispers that the upcoming iPhone 12 line up could feature a LiDAR scanner for better AR capabilities.

Apple iPhone 12 series might launch in Sept 2020 based on its previous launch pattern. However, recent information suggests that the Cupertino tech giant might delay the launch in Oct 2020. The new set of information revealed in the latest iPhone 12 leak is interesting but its safer to take this with a pinch of salt.
