Bayer Leverkusen will not get in the way should Kai Havertz jump looking for a fresh challenge in the next transfer window. The German playmaker is tipped as a priority signing by top clubs such as Chelsea, Bayern Munich, and Real Madrid, and his side has stated he will not be prevented from leaving.

The leading candidates to win the 21-year-old's signature are thought to be Bayern and Chelsea. The latter is close to completing a deal with Timo Werner and set to focus on bringing Havertz to Stamford Bridge.

However, the Bavarians recently emerged to be in hot pursuit of the striker, whose five matches so far in the resumed Bundesliga led to five goals already. According to Metro, Bayern appeared ready to give the amount demanded by Leverkusen for the release of Havertz.

For the German to join a new side, the price to pay is no less than £75 million, an amount that the Blues could find hard to muster given the money already reserved for Werner's imminent transfer from Leipzig.

For Bayern, paying up seemed not a problem, thus making the leading Bundesliga side the new favorite to win Havertz nod.

Reports also suggested that the young German is also on the acquisition list of Manchester United and Liverpool. The latter could make a move on the Leverkusen ace following the missed opportunity to bring Werner to Anfield.

The Red Devils, on the other hand, will likely turn their attention on Havertz if the bid on Borussia Dortmund striker Jadon Sancho will prove unfavorable.

In any case, Leverkusen CEO Fernando Carro appeared ready to give Havertz his ticket out of Bundesliga. The club chief said in 10 years of playing for his side, the youngster flourished and got the attention of leading clubs in Europe.

"I see the player's desire to take the next step sometime in the near future. You have to try to find a solution where the player's goal can be reconciled with ours," The Sun reported Carro as saying, picking up on the reports from Germany.

The executive praised the rising Leverkusen star, whom he described as loyal, disciplined, and mature.

Carro admitted that keeping Havertz on the club roster is on his mind, but the player has already made clear to take the next big step. It's quite obvious that the attacking midfielder plans to link up with a new side the soonest, and with the European giants tempting him with offers.

Letting Havertz go is not easy, but the Leverkusen chief said it's important to know what the players want and reconcile them with the interest of the club.
