Prince Louis apparently has a favorite TV person in British food expert Mary Berry. According to sources close to the Cambridge family, the youngest child of Prince William and Kate Middleton "whoops and claps" when he sees the cooking star on the small screen.
The source told The Sun that Prince William thinks Prince Louis' obsession with Berry is quite hilarious. The young prince, who recently turned two years old, reportedly, loves all of the food writer's cookbooks.
If there was something he'd like to eat, Prince Louis would pull out Berry's cookbooks and point to the photos. Some of his favorites apparently include Berry's Very Chocolate Cake and Plum Crumble.
It's perhaps why Prince William spent a lot of time baking during the coronavirus lockdown -- to let his children, especially Prince Louis, enjoy and indulge in some delicious treats. While talking to some ambulance workers, the Duke of Cambridge confessed that he mostly baked some chocolate cakes when he had extra time at home. Prince William even joked that he's now worried for the waistline.
But despite scaling back on their royal work amid the pandemic, Prince William and Kate did some of their meetings virtually and tapped organizations to work with via video conferencing calls. Kate, however, said that some of these video calls can be challenging especially when Prince Louis is around. The toddler apparently likes to tinker with the computer, thus cutting off his parents from the video calls.
Meanwhile, it's still unclear when Prince William, Kate and their kids are returning to London. They have been in isolation at their Norfolk country home since the middle of March. However, as the lockdown measures are slowly easing up, Prince William and Kate could be out of quarantine soon. Prince George and Princess Charlotte could also return to their school at Thomas's Battersea.
The royal kids were supposed to be back to in-person school on June 1. However, the Duchess of Cambridge wanted her children to be together, especially Prince Louis. So, instead of moving back to the city, the Cambridges have remained in their country estate in Norfolk.
Meanwhile, the Duke of Cambridge was actually on his first in-person meeting since the lockdown. He visited the emergency ambulance unit in Norfolk to thank the key workers. Kate will likely follow and join her husband on his next in-person royal engagement.
