Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have, reportedly, applied for a trademark of their new foundation's name, Archewell, under the category of motion picture films and television shows. The Sussex pair, allegedly, filed the papers with the Intellectual Property Office in London.

A source told Richard Eden of the Daily Mail that the trademark application for Archewell in films and TV also encompasses ventures in "digital entertainment content." Prince Harry and Meghan apparently plan to put up in a platform that has a wealth of information on mental health, general health and well-being, as well as nutrition. The insider also told Eden that their new company is being set up to be a huge global organization.

Prince Harry and Meghan established Archewell in April 1, after they were asked to drop the Sussex Royal Foundation when they left the royal family. The word "arche" is of Greek origin, which means "a source of action."

But Prince Harry and Meghan are not in any rush to launch Archewell just yet, amid this coronavirus pandemic crisis. They have also been holding off the official unveiling as they plan out the right timing to debut their new company, with a better and clearer focus of what the foundation will be about.

It comes as Meghan, reportedly, closed a deal to adapt a political novel into a film. The story, titled Election Year, delves on a U.S. presidential candidate who is actually a Russian spy.

The book's author, Lloyd Scott, reportedly, squealed to friends about how excited she is to work with Prince Harry and Meghan after they have underscored the non-disclosure agreements. According to reports, Meghan will see through the development of the screenplay but she will not be part of the movie in front of the cameras.

Election Year will likely be a first venture for Archewell as a film and TV outfit. But this will not be unfamiliar territory for Meghan since this was her former world before becoming a royal.

Prior to her marriage to Prince Harry, Meghan was a TV actress working on a mildly successful cable legal drama, Suits. She also worked as a TV personality taking on bit parts for several years before she starred on her own show.

The Duchess of Sussex quit acting in November 2017 after her engagement to Prince Harry was announced. Since leaving the royals, however, those close to Prince Harry and Meghan said that the couple plan to work with Hollywood as producers and not on-camera talents.
