There is little doubt that Far Cry 6 is one of the most anticipated video games last year. However, Ubisoft has been decidedly quiet about the title. Luckily, things have changed in the past few weeks leading up to Ubisoft Forward event. The new game in the Far Cry series has just been confirmed in an awesome trailer and it features Giancarlo Esposito's terrifying antagonist teaching his son an important lesson.

The development of Far Cry 6 has been one of the best-kept secrets in the past. Although Ubisoft has been developing the first-person shooter game since 2016, there haven't been a lot of details revealed about the title. Perhaps the closest tease that fans got was when The Mandalorian actor Giancarlo Esposito admitted that he was working on a video game where he will take on a major role. Even then, people had no idea that he would be involved in the sixth Far Cry title.

On Friday, July 10, the first teaser for Far Cry 6 was dropped and it mostly focused on the game's villain, who will be played by Giancarlo Esposito. Needless to say, Breaking Bad fans were excited about the idea that Esposito will be playing someone who is somehow similar to Gus Fring. However, it looks like Anton Castillo is a lot scarier than Gus.

The trailer for Far Cry 6 was unveiled at Ubisoft Forward and it focuses on Anton Castillo and his son Diego, who is played by Coco star Anthony Gonzalez. In the trailer, Anton gives Diego a grenade and assures him that it will not detonate without a pin as long as the teenager keeps his hand on the handle. Anton then brings the boy out to the balcony where it is revealed that the city is in chaos. This is when Anton gives Diego an important lesson that immediately sets the tone for the new video game.

The description for Far Cry 6 reads as follows: "Welcome to Yara, a tropical paradise frozen in time. As dictator of Yara, Anton Castillo is intent on restoring his nation back to its former glory by any means, with his son, Diego, dutifully at his side. Immerse in the adrenaline-filled, chaotic world of a modern-day guerrilla revolution and burn their regime to the ground."

Far Cry 6 will be available on PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X, Xbox One, Uplay, Uplay+, Epic Games and Stadia on February 18th, 2021.
