Japanese gaming giant Nintendo announced earlier today that it is holding a Nintendo Direct Mini event on Monday morning. The announcement took place following a series of leaks that flooded online, revealing its upcoming activity. Nintendo also shared more details about the game giving fans an idea of what to look forward to on the brief online showcase.

Nintendo Direct Mini: Partner Showcase

The official Twitter account of Nintendo recently tweeted about its new event happening on July 20, 2020. The event is called Nintendo Direct Mini: Partner Showcase. The company describes the event as a series centered on titles developed by its development and publishing partners.

Nintendo also confirmed that it would be sharing several updates on a small group of earlier announced Nintendo Switch titles. The company encourages fans to check the full video launch at around 7 AM Pacific Time. This means Nintendo Direct Mini would start at 7 AM PT or 10 AM ET in the U.S., 3 PM BST on July 20 in the U.K., or 12 midnight AEDT on July 21 in Australia.

Other Nintendo Direct Mini Details

The first-ever Nintendo Direct Mini would be short compared to other Nintendo Direct events in the past. According to Wccftech, since the upcoming event would center on a few games that have been announced, it could run for about ten minutes. In March, Nintendo's Mini broadcast was approximately 28 minutes.

The site also suggests that fans should temper expectations since the Nintendo Direct Mini is a partner direct. Since the company already confirmed that the list of titles would be small and would be from its publishing partners and developers, it might not have any surprise reveals. Will Nintendo announce the rumored "Super Mario" 35th Anniversary collection at the event?

It would be one of the most surprising announcements if the company would announce the "Super Mario" 35th Anniversary Collection for the Nintendo Switch. In September, the "Super Mario Bros" would be 35 years old since it was first launched in Japan by Famicon.

Some fans recently spotted a Twitter account rumored to be reserved for "Super Mario" 35th anniversary. Many believed that Nintendo could be preparing it for announcements and updates related to the 35th anniversary of the iconic plumber. VGC reported that the twitter account's email recovery address is the same as the addresses of SplatoonJP and SmashJP.

So far, the company has not yet released any statements related to the rumored Twitter account.
