Samsung recently unveiled the Galaxy Watch 3 at the Unpacked event. The new smart wearable was launched alongside the Galaxy Note 20 series, the Galaxy Z Fold 2 and several other new Samsung products. The latest generation of smart wearable from the Seoul-based tech giant offers more to the table than other premium smartwatches available today.

Galaxy Watch 3 Design and Display Details

The design of the new Samsung Galaxy Watch 3 is not different from the previous generation smartwatch from the company. It sports a circular display with a bezel that rotates for the smartwatch's operations. The stainless steel model is aesthetically striking, paired with high-quality leather.

Compared to the first galaxy Watch, the new smartwatch from Samsung is 14% thinner, 15% lighter and 8% smaller in size. It features a 360 x 360 Super AMOLED Gorilla Glass display, which makes it sturdy and durable. It also got IP68 certification and features 5ATM, which means it is resistant to water and dust.

The navigation of the Galaxy Watch 3 is fluid and allows users to toggle between widgets easily. Aside from performing various smartwatch operations, the rotating bezel enables users to control the music played on the smartphone.

Galaxy Watch 3 Specs

The Galaxy Watch 3 houses 1 GB of RAM and 8GB of storage capacity. It utilizes Samsung's Exynos 9110-a dual-core processor with 1.15 GHz. Moreover, it runs on a Tizen-based wearable operating system version 5.5. it comes with Bluetooth 5.0 GPS connectivity and GPS. The Galaxy Watch 3 packs a 340 mAh battery life for the 45mm model and 247 mAh for the 41mm model.

Galaxy Watch 3 Health and Fitness Features

Samsung introduced a significant improvement in the health and fitness features of the Galaxy Watch 3. The new smartwatch now comes with blood oxygen monitoring that records and measure oxygen saturation on the blood. The device's Health Monitor app now comes with Blood Pressure monitoring and ECG readings.

Apart from those, the Galaxy Watch 3 is now capable of detecting falls. With this feature, the wearable would send an SOS notification to assigned contacts. Samsung also integrated running analysis to its latest smartwatch. This enables users to read real-time feedback when they are running and a six-factor post-workout report. Moreover, the Galaxy Watch 3 offers users the option to track their cardio progress as well as read V02 readings for analyzing oxygen intake.
