The entry-level 2020 iPhone SE is reportedly getting a price slash, according to a new report. Following the success of the iPhone X in the market, Apple is seemingly interested in catering to a new market currently dominated by Android smartphone makers. If the latest information is accurate, it appears that fans are in for a much more affordable 2020 iPhone SE before 2020 ends.
Following the official debut of this year's iPhone 12 flagship iPhone, Apple would reportedly reduce the price of the 2020 iPhone SE, according to Apple Lab. The Cupertino-based tech titan Apple has a habit of either discontinuing an old product offering it at a much lower price. In a new tweet, the industry insider shared a list of iPhone models that would allegedly receive a price slash.
The tipster shared that the 2020 iPhone SE could retail between $399 and $349. Since the entry-level iPhone is the company's most affordable iPhone offering, a price reduction could pit it against the recently announced Google Pixel 4a. The insider also revealed that aside from the 2020 iPhone SE, several other iPhone models would see price reduction after the launch of the iPhone 12 lineup.
Apple Lab mentioned in a tweet that the iPhone XR could retail between $549 and $499. Meanwhile, he noted that the iPhone 12 (standard) could retail at a starting price of $699. According to the industry insider, the iPhone 12 Pro would reportedly sell at a starting price of around $999.

The 2020 iPhone SE is one of the hotly received smartphones this year. Rumors have it that it might have an older sibling arriving in 2021. TFI Securities Analyst and reliable Apple tipster Ming-Chi Kuo previously predicted that Apple might launch a new version of the iPhone SE, this time, with the 'Plus' addition.
The analyst claimed that this new version would feature a full-screen design. It would not support Face ID but would depend on a side-mounted fingerprint reader, according to Kuo. Aside from Kuo, earlier rumors claimed that the 2020 iPhone SE might see another $100 price slash in 2020.
Interestingly, while this new information about the potential price reduction of the 2020 iPhone SE is exciting, it is not official. Apple has not yet made any comment about this claim. In this case, it is smarter to take this information with a pinch of salt. Apple is anticipated to unveil the iPhone 12 series sometime next month.
