Prince William and Kate Middleton are preparing to leave Anmer Hall in Norfolk to return to Kensington Palace in London this September. The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are coming back to their main residence because of their children.
According to the Observer, Prince George, 7, and Princess Charlotte, 5, are set to return to school at Thomas's Battersea for the fall term. In-person classes will resume by Sept. 7 and it is understood that Prince William and Kate, along with their children, plan to be settled at Kensington Palace in the first week of that month.
The Cambridge family has been staying at Anmer Hall since the middle of March due to the lockdown. According to Daily Express, Kate is most at home at their Norfolk country estate because the kids could indulge in a lot of outdoor play.
During the lockdown, Prince William and Kate took turns guiding their two older children for their homeschooling lessons. Both the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge admitted it's been a challenge to guide George and Charlotte in their school activities.
During an interview with This Morning, Kate revealed that George apparently liked Charlotte's homework and projects better. The young royal, who was in Year 2 then, liked to make is sister's spider sandwiches than do his literacy work.
Prince William, on the other hand, admitted with embarrassment that he learned just how much he's bad at math while helping their school-age children. In a BBC podcast show, the Duke of Cambridge said that they usually have a team tag session but it's the Duchess of Cambridge who takes over when "everything has gone wrong" during their homeschooling.
Prince George will be in Year 3 when he comes back to Thomas's Battersea. Royal observers think that this could be his last year at the London institution because he might be in a boarding school when he turns eight. Prince William and Prince Harry were sent to boarding school around the same age.
Princess Charlotte, on the other hand, will begin Year 1 this fall. Sources said that the confident royal has shown leadership qualities and earned the title "Warrior Princess" from her classmates.
Meanwhile, Prince Louis, 2, isn't in school yet but he learned a lot of things during their long stay at Anmer Hall. The Duchess of Cambridge thinks that Prince Louis has a green thumb among all her kids. The Cambridge children, apparently, grew sunflowers during this lockdown and Prince Louis' plant is growing healthier and faster than Prince George or his sister.
