George Clooney's neighbors in Los Angeles are apparently up in arms about the long-term renovations the actor is making to his multimillion-dollar mansion in Studio City. They are now preparing themselves to be even more upset as the construction is projected to take six more months.

The renovations started more than a year ago and it looked like they never stopped despite the pandemic. According to The Sun, the actor's neighbors are already complaining about the noise that they have been enduring since last year.

One local told the outlet that some of the neighbors were upset by many vehicles, including cement mixer trucks, coming to the property early in the morning. Moreover, residents were allegedly also annoyed that trucks and workers park their vehicles up and down the street, taking up all the spaces in front of other residents' homes.

The source said people are not happy about the long construction and want the project to finish as soon as possible. Unfortunately, it seems like the residents will have to endure much longer. The Sun cited a worker on-site as saying it will take six more months before the construction will be completed.

George Clooney bought the 7,354-square-foot property in 1995 for $2.2 million. The main house has six bedrooms.

The Ocean's Eleven actor applied for renovation last year and six of the permits were issued by the L.A. Department of Building and Safety in July 2019. Two more permits were granted on December 27, 2019.

The Oscar winner, reportedly, spent over $33,000 on building permits alone. The extensive renovation at the Clooneys mansion reportedly cost over $1 million.

It includes the addition of three new structures. Among these is a proposed play cottage for George and Amal Clooney's three-year-old twins Ella and Alexander. The Descendants, actor, also, reportedly, applied to build a funicular, an exterior pizza oven, and a water feature on the extended structures.

Aside from his mansion in Studio City, Clooney owns properties in Manhattan, in England, and at Lake Como, Italy. When it was first reported that the Money Monster actor was planning to make renovation at her L.A. estate earlier this year, speculations began circling that George could have decided to live in the U.S. again to pursue a career in politics.

Clooney is one of the Hollywood A-list celebrities that has been a staunch supporter of the Democratic Party. He has been known for hosting fundraisers for Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton in the past. Just recently, he hosted a virtual fundraiser for Joe Biden following the Democratic National Convention. The event raised $7 million.
