A new set of leaked Google Pixel 5 images surfaced online; however, this time, it used the name Pixel 5s. Following Pixel 4a's launch, the industry has seen leaks and rumors surrounding the Pixel 5. There were actual images and specifications of the device leaked online, but this is the second time the handset is leaked under the Pixel 5s moniker.

The latest set of leaked Google Pixel 5 images is courtesy of Twitter user Jose Antonio Ponton. He previously shared several photos of the alleged Pixel 5 under the name Pixel 5S. The new photos do not reveal much, but it offered consumers a better idea of the upcoming device's bezels' size.

While users are accustomed to Google Pixel smartphones with thick bezels at the bottom, top, or both, it looks like the Google Pixel 5 will no longer follow this trend. A few days ago, the same insider shared multiple images of the Pixel 5, which show the device's About section. While the image shows that the phone's name is Pixel 5S, XDA Developers' Editor in Chief Mishaal Rahman identified the device as a variant of the Pixel 5.

According to the editor, the device has a model name GD1YQ, obtained through the barcode found on the back panel. It can be recalled that the same model number was reported a few days ago as the model name of the Google Pixel 5 as revealed in an FCC listing. Along with the device under the model name G6QU3, the said devices feature support for mmWave on bands n260 and N261.

Apart from this, the FCC listing also revealed that Google Pixel 5 has a couple of other models. These are model names GTT9Q and G5NZ6, but these variants do not support mmWave. Speculations have it that these devices might release this Fall alongside the Pixel 5. The previously leaked images also contained an odd Google logo, which is understandable since the photos shown are prototypes and not retail models. This is confirmed by the R3 EVT text, where R3 could mean Redfin and EVT stands for Engineering Validation Test. This is a particular phase where engineers are provided with a prototype to check and validate the hardware.

The search engine giant launched the Google Pixel 4a last month. It also teased the Google Pixel 4a 5G and Google Pixel 5 as upcoming devices arriving sometime in the Fall of 2020.
