Brook Lopez has been around and has been effective for teams. There is no doubt he fills in that key void in the Milwaukee Bucks roster but such has sadly been overlooked. That said, the Bucks could explore opportunities by dealing away the 7-footer for players who can adapt to a fast-paced style of game.

Mobility has been the biggest question for Lopez. Though he has helped on the defensive end, his slow feet has come into play. Some feel that his style of play may be hindering team stars like Giannis Antetokounmpo and Khris Middleton. If head coach Mike Budenholzer opts for a faster brand of play, taking in a more agile center could be best.

The salary of Lopez could help address that need. He has three years left in his current contract worth around $39.8 million. Looking at the current centers available in the free-agent market, the Bucks could consider some young ballers instead. Among the names that come to mind include Hassan Whiteside, Bismack Biyombo and Tristan Thompson.

Whiteside is a player that could fit in perfectly. He is a mobile center who has been known to be a monster on defense. The only problem with him is staying focused. Most know his history but aligning with Antetokounmpo and Middleton could set him straight.

Thompson could be a key addition as well. He is one of the players teams who will check out although he will not come cheap. Thompson has already said he will not accept anything lower than the five-year $82 million deal he recently wrapped up with the Cleveland Cavaliers.

Biyombo is another up and coming star who could provide the Bucks with the much-needed energy. His averages last season may not be high but irrelevant for Milwaukee. What they need is a player who can do the dirty work, particularly cleaning the boards and content with second-chance points.

The key thing to note here is that the Bucks have options. Lopez is someone who could be a valuable addition to any team. So far, he has played for the Brooklyn Nets, Los Angeles Lakers and the Bucks. He has been a valuable piece to these teams through injuries early on hampered his progress. Looking ahead, a change of scenery could work for him as well if the Bucks plan to pull the plug on him.
