The Orlando Magic are trying to figure out their next move as they hope to retool for the 2020-21 NBA season. The clubs have been through a lot of changes in the past years and have shown some improvement. But one player that has been around for quite some time now is Aaron Gordon. Though he has shown he can dunk the ball, that talent has not helped the Magic’s cause.

Gordon has visited the NBA trade rumor mill a lot the past months but something could finally go down. According to Kevin O’Conner of The Ringer, the Magic are listening to offers for the 25-year-old player.

Considering Gordon has been playing for Orlando since 2014, nothing significant has materialized. They have made the NBA playoffs the last two seasons under Steve Clifford but found themselves exiting in the first round.

Last season, they fell to the Milwaukee Bucks 4-1. Gordon was hardly any help, missing the series with the Bucks due to a nagging hamstring injury. His durability will also be another question that prospective teams will take into consideration.

Looking at his numbers, Gordon has fared well so far. Last season, the 6-foot-8 forward played in 62 games averaging 12.8 points, 6.4 rebounds, and 2.4 assists in 32.5 minutes per Basketball-Reference. Gordon is in the third year of his four-year deal worth $80 million. He is set to earn $18 million this coming NBA season.
For Gordon, it may be time to move on and see which teams he would fit in. He could do well with a contender although his playing time may diminish. There are several teams interested in him, one of which is ironically the Bucks, Amico Hoops reported.

It remains to be seen if Milwaukee is ready to absorb the remainder of his contract. However, Gordon joining the Bucks would make sense. Mike Budenholzer is looking for more defensive men to help them out and Gordon fits that need.

Other than the Bucks, several other teams have been linked to the 4th overall pick of the 2014 NBA Draft. That list includes the Golden State Warriors and the Chicago Bulls.

Some clarity on what the future holds for Gordon may happen in the coming weeks. With the 2020 NBA Draft just around the corner, trades are expected to happen in the coming days as clubs try to jockey for position for the upcoming draft. The Warriors, Bulls and more are open to trade deals, with Gordon possibly included in one of them.
