Widgetsmith received a major update recently with the new version that comes with fresh artwork and themes for the iOS 14 home screen now available for download.

The app instantly rose to fame upon its launch, along with the release of Apple's iOS 14, as it allowed users to get easy access to their favorite apps with just a single tap on their screen. Recently, Widgetsmith received a major update, with the new version 2.0 coming with new artwork and themes for your iPhone's home screen.

Widgetsmith allows users to generate custom widgets and also lets you group your favorite apps in one place. This makes it easy for the user to access the apps they frequently use throughout the day. With the recent update, Widgetsmith version 2.0 now includes pre-loaded and fully customizable themes for your widgets. Aside from the new artwork and themes, it also comes with an RGB and HEX color chooser and many more.

The pre-loaded themes on the new Widgetsmith version 2.0 update, aside from having fresh themes, artwork, and other types of aesthetics, also offer users various fonts, icons, and color combinations. Each of these aesthetics is fully customizable, allowing iPhone users to design the perfect aesthetic blend for your iOS 14 device's home screen.

On the latest Widgetsmith 2.0 version, choosing a theme and customizing it is as easy as a walk in the park. Once you have chosen your preferred theme on the updated Widgetsmith, just tap the "customize theme" button to make some changes on the widget, including tint color, border color, font, background color, and artwork.

To further guide those who would like to update their Widgetsmith to version 2.0, the app's developer, David Smith, posted some important information on his blog. "But of course I wouldn't want these changes to lessen the real joy of Widgetsmith, which is making the widgets exactly yours. So, each of these themes is completely customizable to your preferred taste. You can still change the fonts, colors, and borders of each widget like before, but the great thing is that, now, changes you implement apply across all instances of a theme. This makes it super easy to update all your widgets at once as your mood or tastes shift," Smith said.

Smith also revealed he is currently working with top designers to come up with a broad range of seasonal, as well as fun borders and overlays, for the users' widgets to provide them that little extra excitement. Within the latest update of Widgetsmith's artwork section, users can find a series of overlays and borders that they can use in their widgets. At present, the new theme and artwork collection in Widgetsmith version 2.0 includes objects like an Apple-inspired six-colors pattern, leaves, and pumpkins. You can download Widgetsmith for free at the App Store.
