In the Desperate Measures story mission, the player assumes the role of a Soviet double agent named Belikov tasked to get the keycard that would allow Bell and Adler gain access inside the KGD headquarters. There are several ways on how to obtain the keycard, but most players prefer to poison Charkov.

To execute the plan of poisoning the general in the Desperate Measures story mission of "Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War," Belikov should venture into dangerous territory to obtain the poison. To do this, he must go to the east side of the headquarters and look for a staircase to go to Kravchenko's office. He could enter the restricted area by lockpicking the door.

It is important to note that there is a guard on patrol, and it is best if Belikov could just take him down first. When at Kravchenko's office, he must look for the convenient poison locker located in the corner. It has a periodic table of elements to its right.

Belikov must log in to Kravchenko's computer to find the lock combination. If he sees the Access Mole Investigation, just ignore it. Belikov must check the logs about Nov 6. In "Call of Duty: Black Ops," Nova 6 is the name of a poisonous gas. Meanwhile, he can see that in the first lof entry, the chemical and elemental composition of Nova 6 is Sulfur (S), Rhenium (Re), and Neodymium (Nd).

Belikov must check these chemicals on the periodic table. Their corresponding atomic numbers is the lock combination, which is 16-75-60. After that, Belikov will obtain that Nova 6 poison. Go back upstairs and head to the northwest corner of the building. Talk to the stationed guard at the desk outside of Charkov'soffice.

Belikov must use the dialogue option that says that he wishes to speak to the general. The poison option will then surface. He must select it, and the guard will escort him to Charkov's office. The general is on the phone, and the guard will serve drinks; Belikov should take a seat.

Belikov will have an option to put poison on either of the cups, but the general will turn around and get the wrong cup. Belikov must prompt Charkov to turn around and talk about his wife or the good old time. This is his chance to witch the cups and let Charkov drink up the poison.

It is worth mentioning that while "Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War" players are working on getting the key, they could also look out for the evidence is hidden in the Desperate Measures story mission. The piece of evidence is a Wristwatch that contains Dead Drop List. It is useful for "Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War" players when they reach the Operation Red Circus side mission.
