"Genshin Impact" players will still have lots of time to earn and collect Primogems since according to a reliable insider, the much-awaited character Ayaka will arrive in the game in the early part of 2021.

Who is Ayaka?

Ayaka is a 5-star Cryo user who was first introduced in "Genshin Impact's" closed beta but not on the final beta. She wields a sword and hails from the Inazuma region. Earlier leaks suggested that a couple of new characters would make a cameo in the game. One of which is Zhongli, who is already introduced in the game and the other "Genshin Impact" character is Ayaka.

Ayaka Skills

As her Elemental Skill, Ayaka performs the Kamisato Art - Hyouka. She releases ice around her and launches to nearby opponents afterwards. This attack causes them AoE Cryo damage. Another Ayaka's Elemental Skill is Senho, which replaces Sprint. She consumes Stamina to conceal herself within a fast flow of sleet that moves along with her movements.

In this form, Ayaka moves on the water at high speed. When she appears again, she inflicts Cryo on nearby opponents. Cryo also forms on her blade and transforms her Attack Damage into Cryo Damage for a short time. Meanwhile, her Elemental Burst is called Kamisato Art - Soumetsu. It allows Ayaka to accumulate frost using her sword and fan and create bladestorms that keeps on moving forward.

When is Ayaka Arriving In "Genshin Impact"

While nothing is officially announced about Ayaka's arrival in the game, reliable data miner and "Genshin Impact" insider NEP NEP shared that her launch is still a few months away. The Princess of Kamisato House might be featured in her own banner alongside the rollout of the game's version 1.4. miHoYo has not said anything about its update timeline beyond update1.3.

However, based on "Genshin Impact" six-week update window, it is safe to assume that Ayaka could arrive in the middle of March 2021. According to the insider, the 5-star Cyro character would specifically launch on Mar. 17. Aside from Ayaka's release, the leak also reveals the window of Inazuma region's release.

The Chinese gaming studio earlier mapped out the region that correlates with Acts of "Genshin Impact." For example, the game's prologue is set in Mondstadt, Act 1 is set in Liyue and probably Inazuma would be in the game's upcoming Act 2. According to speculations, it is possible that the map could expand to Inazuma in version 1.4, which is presumably coming in March.
