Like all other "Genshin Impact" updates, the latest content introduced a new event in the game, and like all others, it is only available for a limited time. Interestingly, miHoYo did not attach Resin to it; however, players need to progress the new story to unlock all the activities and rewards from The Chalk Prince and the Dragon event. Here are the important things players should take note of the latest event in the game.
The Chalk Prince and the Dragon Event of "Genshin Impact"
Players need to complete the "For a Tomorrow Without Tears." It is the part where the Traveler prepares to face Stormterror. Players finish "Princeps Cretaceus Chapter" and only available for "Genshin Impact" players with Adventure Rank 20 or higher. This quest must be completed so players could access The Chalk Prince and the Dragon event.
It is available between Dec. 22 and Jan. 5, with different acts taking place every three days. The Chalk Prince and the Dragon Event will require "Genshin Impact" players with Adventure Rank 40 and a Story Key to access. The event is available in four acts and only becomes accessible on their scheduled dates. Act I starts on Dec. 22, Act II on Dec. 25, Act III on Dec. 28, and Act IV on Dec 31.

The Princeps Cretaceus Chapter
The first Act is easy and players just need to clear it, return Albedo to his camp in Dragonspine to begin. Albedo will reward players with the Festering Desire Sword and will request them to do an experiment with it, including killing all the things while using the one-hand sword.

The Chalk Prince and the Dragon Event Rewards And Other Details
The Festering Desire Sword is one of the rewards included in The Chalk Prince and the Dragon event. It is a four-star one-hand sword that improves with items during the event. Items like Rime-Worn Crystals and Rime-Worn Fragments would be available when the event is unlocked. All activities in this new event take place in the new area, Dragonspine. The latest event is only available until 03:59:59 of Jan. 5. Meanwhile, the Event Shop will be available in the game until 03:59:59 of Jan. 12.
"Genshin Impact" is now available worldwide. It is playable on PC, PlayStation 4, iOS and Android devices. The game is also in development for Nintendo Switch and PS5.
