Fans and followers still experience the so-called "droughtlander" as Outlander Season 6 remains out of sight. But, series star Sam Heughan recently shared some hints about the upcoming installment, seemingly teasing the avid viewers further.

While many individuals already feel the excitement toward the sixth season, Cheat Sheet said that some of Heughan's statements likely "shocked" some fans. This came after the actor described his character, Jamie Fraser, as "a bit too good to be true."

Speaking to Parade, the 40-year-old celebrity explained the "big appeal" of his lead character. He said that many people like him and Claire because their "love is so pure," adding that it is "so eternal and without question."

Sam Heughan continued that Jamie is "extremely loyal" and "pretty perfect." In the end, he described him as "too good to be true." Nevertheless, the series star emphasized that he would like to be like his character.

Elsewhere in the interview, the Scottish actor, also, talked about Jamie Fraser's "transformation" in Outlander Season 6, according to the Daily Express. He confirmed that the fans will see a "new side" to his character.

Apart from it, Heughan teased that every episode will have "something that you don't expect." Jamie, opposite Caitriona Balfe's Claire, will, reportedly, face tests that will center on his loyalty, and the difficult decisions he will make will likely surprise viewers.

The details about the new season, including the characters and plots, remain scarce. But, the actor gave away a few new information about Outlander Season 6.

He said that the upcoming installment welcomes a new character. He, however, noted that this person is "not so new to Jamie."

Sam Heughan named the character Tom Christie. Reports, later on, said that avid readers of the original book series already know who this person is as he and his wife, Malva, play essential roles in the book.

The actor explained that the Christies will come to Fraser's Ridge, an event wherein the "power play" will start. The couple's daughter will, also, have a "very special part" to the story.

Before continuing his statements, though, the series star ended his teasers. He noted that he could give away more than what he already shared about the new season.

The exact date of the production has not yet been revealed. But, reports believe that Outlander Season 6 will officially drop on Starz in the latter months of 2021.

For now, fans and followers may re-watch the series' first five seasons. All episodes are accessible on the STARZ app, Amazon Prime Video, and Netflix.
