Fans and avid watchers continue to experience the so-called "droughtlander" as Outlander Season 6 has yet to arrive. Amid the waiting game, though, some publications unearthed a few interviews of the series cast members.

Prior to Season 5's arrival, Sophie Skelton sat down for a brief discussion about the show's movements. In one part of the interview, she revealed a storyline that she "fought" for to keep on the series, according to Cheat Sheet.

Speaking to Town & Country, the actress explained that she insisted for the show to "keep addressing (Brianna's) post-traumatic stress disorder." This came after Edward Speleers' Stephen Bonnet raped Brianna Fraser in the latter episodes of Season 4.

Skelton said that she "fought for" the show to carry the issue through the episodes because "it's not just like it happens in one episode and we're done with it. She continued that the material shows the "brutality of rape and the aftermath," which centers on "the trauma and the PTSD."

Later in the interview, the 26-year-old star, also, addressed the apparency of sexual violence in Outlander. She stated that "it is a shame in a way" considering that some people might find it difficult to watch the show. She argued, however, that the series "handles it ultimately good."

Sophie Skelton will reprise her role as Jamie and Claire's daughter, Brianna in Outlander Season 6. She is, also, one of the cast members who continue to give updates about the new installment.

Cosmopolitan recently reported that the information about the show's return remains scarce. Filming has yet to begin, and fans will likely have to wait until 2022 for the new episodes.

Despite this, the publication revealed some details that the fans might enjoy while waiting for the sixth installment. As reported, it will "faithfully follow" Diana Gabaldon's sixth book, A Breath of Snow and Ashes.

The Daily Express, also, released new updates about Outlander Season 6. The cast members, alongside the crew, will, reportedly, head back to its production hub in Scotland before this month ends. As noted, the exact venue is in Wardpark Film Studios, in Lanarkshire. It is, reportedly, where the show films most of its "non-location" setting.

In addition to this, reports said that the producers of Outlander Season 6 have already spent over $200,000 for a "private testing center." This is in accordance with the COVID-19 safety protocols, which require to test the cast and crew three times a week.
